A LAWN BLOG
by the lawn guide

A Lawn Blog is the parent site for a number of small and humble lawn care sites in Australia, these sites are most noticeably headed up by our original lawn care site called The Lawn Guide.

Our lawn care sites are all 100% original from their very concept to all of their content, and have only a single purpose… to share quality, independent lawn care advice with Australian homeowners and lawn owners.

We aren't owned by the big grass companies, we don't sell grass, and therefore have no interest whatsoever in any such things. Which is very unlike the recent multitude of grass company websites, all now offering a proliferation of so called lawn care advice, which indeed has only a single purpose… to sell more of their own grass brand.

The Lawn Guide, and our associated small lawn information sites will continue in this charter to share quality lawn information, from yesterday, and through to today, and into the future.

LATEST LAWN WEBSITE NEWS

As news occurs with our little sites, such as upgrades and changes and so forth, we'll be adding these news items to this site for anyone interested in whats going on with our work at any given time. We'll also advise on any new sites we're working on, and other similar news items.

All in all, its nothing important at all, just us sharing what we're doing for anyone interested. And as such, we will never set out to make this site into a big and popular site in the Australian online lawn care industry.

Our purpose for this site is therefore very humble, and will always remain so. Thanks for taking the time to read our Lawn Blog.

A Fresh New Look

Today I uploaded a new website design for the Lawn Care Advice website. It's a job I've been wanting to do for a very long time, and finally put the time aside over the last couple of weeks to get the job done.

As seems always the case, the design which is now seen was not the design I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. As the site was progressing towards completion, I just couldn't get the new design to pop in any way that I wanted. It looked very good, but it just wasn't doing it for me.

And also as seems always the case, as soon as I started with the newer look, it just worked, and proceeded at a fast pace!

The foundation of the new website design is the same as with A Lawn Blog right here, but with a few extra enhancements, and over time I do expect to give this website an overhaul to give it it's own unique look and feel.

New Layouts - New Menu Items

Along with the new design, are a few different layouts for pages, as well as some changes to menu items.

The problem with the changes to the menus is that Google will now have to re-find and re-index these new URLs. Which simply equates to our visitor numbers are going to go down!

i expect to take a hit on visitor numbers for about a month or two before numbers return to previous levels.

But the flip side to this is that I expect bounce rates to substantially decrease, and that people will be a lot happier with our new website design. And that at the end of the day, these things will substantially increase our visitor numbers in the very near future.

So here's to the future, and here's to hoping this website gets all the attention and traffic which it deserves on it's own merits as a unique and individual lawn care website.

something different...

This has absolutely nothing to do with lawns for a change, but instead is all about God and Christ. A very quick gospel message by an amazing teacher. I love this guy. His name is Paul Washer, and in my own humble opinion - he is the very best Christian pastor I've ever heard. Finally a guy who cuts out all the garbage of all that church-a-tainment nonsense and apostate churches who have Ichabod on their doors, and gets to the real truth of the Word of God, with no apology.

If you've been wondering about your own Christian heritage, there's no better place to begin getting back to to what big govt and the media and hollywood intentionally stole from us… than with this one guy. And if you liked this, be sure to check out his 2002 Shocking Youth Message afterwards.

Now... if only we could switch him to the King James Bible
